FBI Task Force series by DiAnn Mills
I love this author! As I recently told a friend, DiAnn Mills writes Christian suspense fiction I can trust. Her suspense and mystery will be accurate, but not over the grotesque or horribly violent. Her romance is intriguing and sweet, with heroic men and strong women, but never sensual or uncomfortable. There’s no language. Sometimes they read a little slowly, but they are never a disappointment. I know that I can always recommend a book by DiAnn Mills.
With that said, here are three brief reviews – giving you a taste of the FBI Task Force series (her new series, which I highly recommend!)!!!
Deadly Encounter (book 1)
Book 1 of Diann Mills’ FBI Task Force gets this series off to an intense start. Veterinarian Stacy Broussard volunteers as a Airport Ranger on her off hours. Something that normally means nothing more than a peaceful horseback ride – until today. FBI Special Agent Alex LeBlanc doesn’t trust anyone. Especially seemingly sweet veterinarians who just happened to be alone when they uncovered a homicide and a military grade drone. But this begins to look more and more like Stacy was targeted, and Alex has to reassess his initial feelings. Maybe this is something they’ll have to work together to solve.
Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Intensity: Moderate (Deadly Encounter focuses on the FBI investigation of a murder, and then, ultimately, a terrorism plot. There are no gruesome or gory details.)
Romance: Moderate (Definite romantic dynamic between two characters. They do kiss.)
Recommendation? Highly recommend this book. May seem to read a little slower than some of her other books (there’s more emphasis on the mystery and less on the crime).
Deep Extraction (book 2)
Book 2 of DiAnn Mills’ FBI Task Force begins with the murder of oil magnate Nathan Moore. A remote murder, through the hijacking of his pacemaker. He leaves behind angry sons, a broken wife, and a terrible secret. Special Agent Tori Templeton is called in, despite her personal relationship with the Moore family. Broken by the attitude of her current partner, Tori discovers a terrible web of deception and crime that must be unraveled. She also discovers that Cole Jeffers may not be just the yardman.
Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Intensity: Moderate (Deep Extraction centers around a murder investigation and attempted additional murders).
Romance: Moderate (Definite romantic dynamic between two characters. They do kiss.)
*spoilers* Additionally, it is revealed that one of the characters was having an affair with a coworker. This is uncovered by the agents. It is handled discreetly, but preview for younger readers.
Recommendation? Definitely recommend this book. May seem to read a little slower than some of her other books (there’s more emphasis on the mystery and less on the crime).
High Treason (book 3)
This is my favorite of the whole series!!! Book 3 of Diann Mills’ FBI Task Force is a thrilling addition to this series, with some dynamics that I had never seen before in Ms. Mills’ previous books. Saudi Prince Omar bin Talal is visiting Houston to get cancer treatments for his mother. Providing his round-the-clock protection is the unlikely duo of an FBI Special Agent and a CIA operative. Kord and Monica struggle to find their footing for a little bit, but are quickly hard at work looking for an assassin (who seems to have inside knowledge of the Prince’s plans). This book uniquely dives into the Islamic faith and the Christian faith, as Kord wrestles with the different worldviews around him.

Recommendation? Definitely recommend High Treason!!!
