I took and passed Principles of Management, with a 52.
Last night I went to sleep thinking I wouldn’t take it because I had just made a 49 on my practice test (after fairly good scores all month) and I thought I had a sinus infection. My family prayed for me and I got a good night’s sleep… and decided to go on in today. It was much harder than I was expecting and almost 80% of the test was material I didn’t know would be there, but I passed and was able to move on!!!
That was actually my first Junior course. Praise the Lord for passing it!
And I met a very sweet young lady. She’s a homeschool graduate, oldest in a large family, and CP student. Even if I hadn’t passed it was worth going, just to make a new friend!
Congratulations for passing your first Junior test!!! 🙂
I hope you’re feeling better and didn’t end up with a sinus infection!
Hey Anna. I was thinking of you just the other day, but I’ve been so busy with the Film Festival, I didn’t get a chance to write you! I hope you are doing okay. 🙂
Love, Jess
Hello,
I am going to be taking the principles of management clep exam in two weeks. can I ask what were the 80% of things you didn’t know? What materials you studied and how long? And I heard that they recently refreshed the exam, possibly making it more difficult. Do you think this is true? Thanks! -Ryan
Hey Ryan, Excellent questions. Let me look up my notes on that test and get back with you tonight or tomorrow.
Thanks,
Okay Ryan, this will be a long reply, and I think I will turn it into a blog post one day! The top 80% that I saw related to almost more of a psychology thing between employers and employees. How those relationships worked. Study a lot of Human Resource (HR) stuff and Motivation. And mix in a lot of study of Teams. Think personal, not technical. I studied a lot of the theories and “techy” stuff, but it really focused on the people involved. Learn the names and theories of Management history.
For studying use the REA book and the CollegeBoard practice test book. I also love Free Clep Prep. My neighbors are all in college and they let me borrow a college textbook. It was awesome. Renting can be expensive, but the textbook helped. You could also look at InstaCert. I don’t have that, but my friends like it.
As for the test changing I don’t know anything about that. Sorry! I decided I needed this test, studied, and took it within 2 months. I never saw it before the change, if there was one.
Hope that helps!
God Bless,
Thank you very much!
