Study Research


Thank you for your participation in my study!  My name is Jessica Pritchett and I am an undergraduate student at Thomas Edison State University.  As part of my Senior Capstone project I am researching how teachers can help dyslexic students succeed academically in the classroom.  I would like to invite you to participate in my research by completing one of the following questionnaires.

The questionnaire will take approximately 30 minutes to complete.  Participation is anonymous, no personal details are required, and all submitted information will remain completely confidential.  Providing this information is completely voluntary and will not affect your participation at all.  Completion of this study is considered to be your tacit agreement.

Summaries of study findings will be made available in my completed project.  If you would like a copy of the completed study, or have questions, please contact me at the email listed below.


Jessica Pritchett



  • Must be dyslexic
  • Must currently be attending school OR have previously attended school.


  • Must be currently teaching in a classroom setting
  • Must currently have at least one dyslexic student in their classroom OR must have previously taught at least one dyslexic student
  • Must also have typical students in their classroom (i.e. participants can not be teachers that only teach dyslexic students)
  • Can not be private tutors, as the survey will specifically be studying dyslexics in the classroom setting


  • Must be tutors and educators, currently demonstrating expertise in dyslexia education
  • Expertise is defined as completion of training or certification by the Orton-Gillingham Academy or a M.E. in Dyslexia Education
  • Alternative definitions of expertise will be evaluated on a case by case basis.
