Cost Per Credit is the – don’t make this hard – cost you pay per college credit when you take a course (or test out of a course). For instance, at Thomas Edison State College the Cost Per Credit (or the CPC) is $221. Most colleges are much more expensive than that.
That’s why it pays to test out of courses. When you take a CLEP (or a DANTES) exam you get to skip that course. And with a CLEP exam your CPC is a mere $26. Does it get better than that?
