This section will be your final part in the multiple choice – after this you are on to the essays!!! Rhetorical Analysis tests your ability to analyze writing. You will read passages and answer questions based on style, purpose, audience, and situation. You will be asked questions about transition words and what the author’s purpose is saying such and such (if I can use that phrase!).
You will also be asked specific questions about certain sentences – word use, why it’s there, and how it works in context.
This section is a breeze. If you can do the first part of the CLEP, you can do this part – no problem!
I took the College Composition CLEP in March 2011, and scored a 63. For the month of January we are focusing on the College Composition CLEP, and you are invited to join us this month as we learn about “What books to use for the College Composition CLEP” and study the different parts of this CLEP exam.
